Windcharger is one of the original generation one, G1, mini vehicle autobots released by Hasbro in 1984. He is one of the smaller Transformers which is why he was made a mini vehicle. In the Transformers story line he is one of the faster Transformers and has the ability to create a magnetic field that can attract or repel metal.
In auto form Windcharger is a Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am. Early versions of the autobot were a lighter shade of red than the later rub versions. There were also blue and black as well as yellow and black versions of this figure issued in South America.
The Windcharger action figure sells for around $100 MOC (mint on card). I’ve seen a Japanese boxed version sell for $200 and the box was fairly beat up. Loose he will sell for $10 and up depending upon the version. Highest ungraded sale I’ve seen is around $50.
